Jan Daan Luycks

Jan Daan Luycks is Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at KAO Data Campus, responsible for the overall management of the data centre campus and specifically for driving the sales strategy and customer engagement ahead of KAO Data Campus has its official opening at the beginning of 2017.

Jan Daan has over 15 years’ experience in the data centre and managed services industry, having served in a number of senior executive positions in the data centre and managed services industry.

Most recently, he spent four years as Vice President and Head of Managed Services for GTS and as CEO of CE Colo. He joined European data centre company Interxion Holding BV in 2000 where he worked for 10 years, through its IPO on the New York Stock Exchange, as Director of European Accounts and Managing Director for Interxion Belgium.

Prior to this, he worked in ABN Amro and founded First Horeca Lease BV in The Netherlands. Jan Daan received a Bachelor of Arts in Law from Erasmus University, Rotterdam, and a Masters in Law and Economics from the Erasmus Programme at the Erasmus University, Universitat Hamburg and Universite Paris Dauphine.


Paul Finch

Paul Finch is Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at KAO Data Campus, responsible for operations, including data centre design, development, engineering, and product strategy.

Mr. Finch has 28 years of progressive experience, with over 10 years operating at a senior management level, focussed on data centres, technical real estate and complex infrastructure.

Prior to KAO Data Campus Mr. Finch was Senior Director at Digital Realty (NYSE: DLR) responsible for driving innovation, creating and executing the complex data centre development and infrastructure strategy across EMEA (and formally APAC). Prior to this he was a Director at CBRE (NYSE:CBG), leading their London engineering management business unit. In addition, he had 18 years of progressive experience in engineering, construction and project management, working with customers across the banking & financial services, oil & gas, technology, media, telecommunications and internet sectors.

Mr. Finch has been engaged at a policy level representing the data centre industry having made formal representation in both the US and EU on future data centre policy, standards and legislation.

Mr Finch is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) registered with the UK Engineering Council. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers (FIMechE), Member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Engineers (MASHRAE). He is an active Voting Executive Committee Member of ASHRAE Technical Committee 9.9 (TC9.9) – Mission Critical Facilities, Data Centres, Technology Spaces and Electronic Equipment.

He holds a BSc(Hons) in Building Services Engineering from London South Bank University, PgDip in Engineering Management from Brunel University and has completed the General Management Programme at the University of Cambridge, Judge Business School.
