The Home of Innovation
Kao Data Campus is a completely new IT infrastructure development of four ultra-modern data centres, powered by 100% renewable energy.
Situated within the UK Innovation Corridor Kao Data Campus is strategically positioned to serve the globally recognized science, research and development hub of Cambridge, as well as the established Tier 1 market of London. The campus enjoys Enterprise Zone status and is one of 24 designated government investment zones across the country. When fully completed the £230m campus will support an ITE load of 35MW across 150,000 sq. ft. of technical space. Kao Data’s campus model offers a rapidly scalable platform that can accommodate rack level deployments to a fully bespoke facility.
Easy access by road and close proximity to both the City of London and the international hub of Stansted airport – providing direct flights to the US and Asia, make Kao Data campus a secure and easily accessible solution for businesses wanting to outsource their mission critical IT requirements.
The first data centre on campus – Kao Data London One (KDL1) – provides a complete blueprint to develop further best-in-class, hyperscale-inspired facilities. Unique features incorporated into the design and technical infrastructure of KDL1 provides a fully optimized, sustainable platform for the compute, storage and network needs of todays IT deployments, as well as resource intensive applications such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning.
Diverse, high-density fibre routes into the campus provide direct connectivity to the European Tier 1 markets of Amsterdam and Dublin, as well as direct connectivity to the established London hubs of Slough and Docklands. Kao Data’s investment in diverse duct infrastructure, as well as the availability of dark fibre, offers carriers and service providers the opportunity to connect to the campus with ease.
