Kao Data Welcomes Craig Wilson as Chairman at Wholesale Colocation Data Centre Company
Kao Data has appointed Craig Wilson as Chairman, as the company enters the operational phase of its newly announced Kao London One wholesale colocation data centre. Craig brings to the board considerable experience gained in both industry and governmental departments, to assist Kao Data in its expansion across key markets.
Commenting on his appointment, Craig says, “Kao Data’s disruptive business model provides best practice ideas and application of technology within the data centre to offer greater opportunities to the market. This is an exciting time as the Kao Data Campus becomes fully operational. The state-of-the-art facility offers the high levels of security, capacity, performance and energy efficiency that customers are now looking for.”
Kao Data recently launched its new Kao London One data centre with 8.8MW of technical space immediately available for occupation. The company is well poised for growth as London and the UK market faces a shortage of colocation space.
Jan Daan Luycks, CEO at Kao Data commented. “Craig Wilson joining the board is an important step in Kao’s longer-term development. We continue to acquire some of the best data centre and IT industry minds available, as we believe this will provide the platform to deliver a meaningful customer offering.”
“The £200m Kao Data Campus illustrates our capabilities and our intention to become a leading force in the wholesale colocation data centre market. The London-Stansted-Cambridge corridor is emerging as a key region for the development of future proofed IT infrastructure for a variety of life science, finance, technology and web organisations.”
