Kao Data's KLON-01 Data Centre Achieves Uptime Institute Stamp of Approval

01 September, 2021 - London, United Kingdom - Kao Data, the specialist developer and operator of advanced, carrier neutral data centres for high performance colocation, has been formally awarded the Stamp of Approval for Management and Operations (M&O) by the Uptime Institute.

This award covers our first data centre (KLON-01) at our Harlow campus and follows a comprehensive facility audit completed in July by the Uptime Institute which reviewed our teams' policies, procedures and operational plans in detail.

The award is testament to a superb working partnership with JCA Engineering who's team provide management, technical and operational support at our Harlow campus. Their staff have been instrumental in helping Kao Data achieve this important industry standard and award.

Paul Finch, COO at Kao Data said: "According to the Uptime Institute human error accounts for 75% of downtime within a data centre. By ensuring our management and operations are running at the highest levels - and crucially are independently audited by the industry’s leading standard bearer - we can help maintain Kao Data’s record of providing 100% uptime to our customers."

This award from the Uptime Institute further demonstrates Kao Data's commitment to operational and technical excellence, and ensures our customers' mission-critical applications are powered in one of the UK's most reliable, robust and advanced data centre facilities.
