Harlow

Harlow Data Centre

Built on the site of Sir Charles Kao’s pioneering discovery of fibre optic cable in 1966, and home to some of the UK's most demanding compute, our Harlow campus is the UK’s largest data centre campus currently under development.

Strategically located between Cambridge and London, the 15 acre, +£230m campus compromises four state-of the-art, carrier neutral data centres. When fully completed, these will support an ITE load of 40MW, across 150,000sq ft of technical space – all powered by 100% renewable energy.

In the future, the campus can develop beyond this footprint to eventually accommodate an impressive IT-load of 83MW.

Key Facts

Kao Data’s OCP-Ready facility in Harlow and their technical expertise in high density computing made them a clear choice to deploy the first Civo cloud in the region.
