NVIDIA
Kao Data are a NVIDIA preferred partner and our data centres are NVIDIA DGX-Ready certified, meaning we are able to support high-density, GPU accelerated hardware for AI and advanced computing. Our Harlow campus is also the home of NVIDIA's Cambridge-1 supercomputer, which has now become part of their DGX Cloud offering.
Open Compute Project
The Open Compute Project (OCP) is a collaborative, global community focused on re-designing hardware technology to efficiently support the growing demands on compute infrastructure. Kao Data is a member of the OCP Data Centre Facility Working Group, and was the first UK data centre to achieve OCP-Ready status.
ServerChoice
ServerChoice provide retail colocation, connectivity and cloud solutions within our Harlow campus and 24/7 on-site managed services for their retail and Kao Data’s wholesale colocation customers.
SCAN
SCAN partner with Kao Data to provide the UK's foremost ecosystem for HPC and AI. As an NVIDIA Elite Partner, Scan offers more than 30 years of experience in specifying, deploying and maintaining hardware within technically complex HPC environments.
Jisc
Jisc is the provider and operator of the Janet network (Joint Academic Network), which serves as the UK’s national research and education network. Kao Data and Jisc have joined forces to provide the UK's public sector, academia, and scientific research organisations with access to cutting edge, sustainable and scalable data centre capacity, via a partnership framework.
European Data Centre Association
The EUDCA represents the interests of the European commercial data centre operator community, both politically and commercially. Established in 2011, the association is registered under Belgian Royal Charter and is run by its members, for its members. Kao Data has been an active member since it went operational in 2018.
Uptime Institute
Kao Data partners with the Uptime Institute and was formally awarded the Stamp of Approval for Management and Operations (M&O) by the Uptime Institute in 2021. Uptime Institute is the Standard bearer for digital infrastructure performance. Their tier standard has been used in the design, construction and operations of thousands of sites in more than 110 countries.
techUK
techUk is the UK’s leading technology membership organisation, with more than 850 members spread across the UK. They are a network that enables their members to learn from each other and grow in a way which contributes to the country both socially and economically. Paul Finch, Kao Data’s CTO represents the company and wider data centre industry as a Technical Committee Member of techUK.
Manchester Digital
Manchester Digital is the trade body that represents Greater Manchester’s most forward-thinking and progressive digital and tech companies. Kao Data has been a member since 2023 and we work with Manchester Digital on our stakeholder engagement within Greater Manchester.
proManchester
proManchester represent the Greater Manchester business community and are the largest business development organisation in the North West. The organisation has been connecting, sharing and collaborating across the city-region and the North West for more than 35 years. Kao Data are a member in regard to our Greater Manchester data centre development.
Marketing Stockport
Marketing Stockport is a business news publishing platform and networking group for the Stockport area of Greater Manchester. We work with Marketing Stockport on our community and stakeholder outreach in the town, which is the home to our proposed Manchester Data Centre - KMAN-01.

The Cambridge Network is a commercial business networking organisation for business people and academics working in technology fields in the Cambridge area of the UK. The businesses and organisations that make up its membership are typical of those found in the 'Cambridge Cluster' or Silicon Fen. Kao Data has been a member since 2021.

CW is the leading international community for companies involved in the research, development and application of wireless and mobile, internet, semiconductor and software technologies. Kao Data has been a member since 2020.

Infrastructure Masons is a non-profit, professional association of technology and business leaders who represent over $150Bn in infrastructure projects in over 130 countries. Many of Kao Data’s employees are members of the Infrastructure Masons and the company actively supports their pursuits.

Climate Neutral Data Centre Pact
The CNDCP commits the European cloud and data centre industry to ambitious sustainability action. Data centre operators and industry associations have agreed to a Self-Regulatory Initiative to make data centres in Europe climate neutral by 2030. This is an historic and unprecedented commitment by an industry to proactively lead the transition to a climate neutral economy.
BREEAM
Delivered by the Building Research Establishment (BRE), BREEAM is the world’s leading sustainability assessment method for master-planning projects, infrastructure and buildings. Recognising our commitment to sustainability, upon its completion our first facility on the campus – KDL1 achieved BREEAM “excellence” in construction, which assesses the buildings’ energy efficiency as well as its’ environmental and sustainability competency.

Cambridge Cleantech connects innovators, corporates, academics, SMEs and investors for a smarter, more sustainable future. As a leading membership organisation, they are a powerful catalyst in the cleantech sector responding to global sustainability challenges.
UTC Heathrow
UTC the UK’s first University Technical College to create a dedicated, data centre engineering curriculum. The College is focused on delivering an advanced technical education that helps their students to pursue rewarding careers in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). Kao Data joined the programme in 2022.
Changing Lives Community Services
Changing Lives Community Services are a not-for-profit and early intervention and prevention project that provides support to vulnerable children in Essex and beyond via its sporting and community engagement programs. Kao Data is supporting front-line community engagement in Harlow, hard to reach communities and refugees via Changing Lives's sporting and community engagement programs.
Cambridge Science Centre
CSC is an independent, educational charity, that provides engaging online and hands-on science and technology experiences to ignite the scientific curiosity of 7–13-year-olds, their families/carers, friends and teachers. The Science Centre also plays a crucial role in providing access to digital and hard-copy physical resources to disadvantaged communities to help encourage more young people into the technology, engineering and scientific sectors. Kao Data has actively supported CSC since 2021.
