After a devastating fire that destroyed Harlow’s Band Stand in September last year, the council made a commitment to rebuild the bandstand in time to host major events by summer 2026. The Kao SEED funding is being used to support the project, which will see Town Park’s Band Stand rebuilt, with a larger performance area, as well as state-of-the-art acoustics and audiovisual equipment.
The new design is inspired by Sylvia Crowe, one of the visionary landscape architects who designed Town Park in 1957.
